Shadow–Our Newest Fiend

IMG_0862Earlier this year, my pal and writing companion, Indiana Cooley passed away. Last year, my long-time little son Jonathan Irving Cat was lost as well. This weekend, we finally brought in a new Fiend to shore up the numbers. I present to you: Shadow Fiend. He’s only 13 weeks old and is keeping me VERY busy. When he gets comfortable enough, I imagine he’ll be hanging off my shoulder like a parrot while I write and code. I look forward to that.

A little question about music…

black-podcast-imageFor those of you that’ve been listening to the podcast presentation of The Black, I’d like some feedback from you regarding the music I play for certain scenes in the book. Whenever the narrator takes us down to the ocean floor, I have a piece of music (thank you Kevin McLeod) that I play. Is it effective? Does it distract from the narration, or does it add to it?
Wondering about this because I plan on continuing to use the same score for the rest of those type scenes. Also considering mood music for later in the book. This will be doubly important when the book is released via audible.
Thoughts?

A funny thing happened on the way to a discount…

So, kids, if you’ve been paying attention, you know that The Black was supposed to go on sale today for 99¢. However, that didn’t happen. Evidently there was some miscommunication between Bookbub, Amazon, and my publisher. Therefore, the promotion has been pushed back to January 16th. I’ll update the information in the next podcasts for Legends of Garaaga and The Black.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
